We use oil fortified paints on most exterior paint jobs because it is absolutely fade resistant, even when used in direct sunlight. It is more durable than latex paint and is easy to clean and care for. Oil fortified paints also do a much better job keeping your wood problems under control.
One of the secrets to a long-lasting paint job is preparation work which will include scraping, sanding, priming and caulking. We only use 40+ year silicone based caulk and the best oil based primers to ensure a long-lasting paint job.

Olde World Painting offers deck and fence staining services as well. We understand that preparation is the key to making a paint job last. The following preparation procedure will be followed on all exterior paint jobs.
Step 1-Clean the area to remove any debris like mildew and dirt that would interfere with the paint bonding.
Step 2- Scraping and sanding to rid the area of any loose paint.
Step 3- Wood repair, if needed.
Step 4- Priming of all raw and exposed wood.
Step 5- Caulking using a 40+ year silicone based caulk where required.
Step 6- After all the above is done apply a finished coat of only the finest paint.
We almost always use oil fortified paints on exterior jobs. It is the paint of choice due to its durability and its ability to keep wood rot at a minimum. It lasts longer than latex paint and is easy to keep clean.
